The Corner Station Antiques is located just off I-94 halfway between Kalamazoo/Battle Creek & Chicago/Detroit. Exit 85, then go north to the second stop light, turn right and we're about a half mile on the point in downtown Galesburg. Located DIRECTLY across from Grant's Antique Mall.

OUR HISTORY...

Back in 1951, an entrepreneur by the name of Ken Carpenter opened up a Sinclair Gas Station on the very point of downtown Galesburg. Back in those days, before the Interstate, Michigan Avenue was the main road through town, with cars lined up, waiting to “fill-er-up” at one of the original 4 gas pumps.

A small town station where the guys hung around jawing about the weeks activities, while the gals were next door at Grant’s General Store getting supplies and complaining about their husbands. It was a simpler time.

The Sinclair Gas Station changed hands a few times over the years and changed gas brands as well once or twice. In the fall of 2011 the owners of Grant’s Antique Mall bought the old abandoned gas station and combined it with the office building behind it to form the now, Ken’s Corner Station Antiques. Additional upgrades and improvments will be made to the outside of the building in the spring of 2012, once the weather begins to cooperate again.
